Welcome once again to another edition of “Speak Your Heartr”. Today we bring you yet another fulltime supporter of Lidod Duvha.
Chifhiwa Rambau is a proud supporter of Black Leopards, Limpopo’s pride and joy. The website reached Chifhiwa and had a one on one with the Limpopo based fan and he spoke his heart out regarding the boys in black and yellow.
Blackleopardsfc.com: Good afternoon Sir and welcome to the Black Leopards website.
Chifhiwa Rambau: Afternoon and thank you very much for the chance.
BLFC: So tell us why you love the pride of Limpopo (Lidoda Duvha).
CR: I love the team because it’s a young and brave team. Besides that I also support their style of play and of course they are the team from Limpopo. If they succeed then also the people of Limpopo are represented in that success.
BLFC: So I guess this means you attend all the games?
CR: [Laughs] well one can say that because for example on the previous season I attended all the home games except the one they played against Swallows. It is our duty as fans to support the team and I play my role.
BLFC: Are you happy with the performance as a whole?
CR: Yes I am more than happy. This team was not expected to survive the PSL and yes at some point I thought things were bad, but they surprised us with incredible performances that fulfilled my expectations.
BLFC: What success do you see in the team?
CR: If you look at the cup competitions we took part in last season you will notice that at some point we played in 3 different competitions and did very well. Hence we are still in the CAF Confederation Cup which I hope we will progress more into the group stages. So yes we do have some highlights to reflect on.
BLFC: If you were the coach what changes do you think you would make?
CR: well, firstly my concern would be to give young players an opportunity to play. I think that young and inexperienced players have more to offer than old and rejected players. So I would advise the management to purchase players new to the scene because they are more hungry and willing to die for the team.
BLFC: Your favourite player?
CR: It would have to the Captain Bobe. He is a fantastic player, with lots of dedication and contributions. He led this team to where it is and who knows where it will be in the next few seasons.
BLFC: Your best experience with the team?
CR: I would have to say the best experience is the atmosphere that we used to have when the team was still in Venda back in 2004/2005. It was always packed at the stadium and fans would sing and cheer for the boys, so I think if maybe the team can find a way to play more games there then it would be perfect.
