KAPPA hosted their official launch in South Africa in Sandton City. They are sponsors of Black Leopards Football Club and they were celebrating their awaited return to the local shores.

KAPPA SA: You are mostly welcomed and it is a pleasure.

BLFC: Tell us, what is the motivation behind KAPPA bringing the brand to SA?
KAPPA SA: We were looking for a sport brand to collaborate with. In addition to that we are partners with a company that provides casual wear bands and essentially owns KAPPA. They offered the brand to us and that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Mind you that KAPPA sponsors big sporting names in the World of football and that gave us the chance to enter the South African market.

BLFC: Why sponsor Black Leopards?
KAPPA SA: We like the fact that the team are the ‘under-dogs’ in the PSL  and merely because teams that are situated at the bottom of the League have potential and aspirations, Leopards fits within that category perfectly.

BLFC: How significant is the Kit?
KAPPA SA: Well Leopards are the only team that plays with an Italian Brand Kit made in Italy with all technical features dry fit materials which are made especially for football enhancement. Hence the kit is the same kit used by English Fulham, Portsmouth, Italian Roma, Sampdoria and Brescia,Dutch Feyenoord, German Werder Bremen,Spanish Real Betis, Swedish Hammarby and Danish FC Copenhagen.

BLFC: Are we to see any links between the international teams and Black Leopards in courtesy of KAPPA?
KAPPA SA: We would actually like that for future investments and relationship integration, it is a goal worth looking at.

BLFC: A massage to the fans?
KAPPA SA: Buy KAPPA in your masses as it is World class branding and definitely we shall keep investing in the team, but make sure you support KAPPA all the way, Lidoda Duvha!

BLFC: Speaking of the team, what do you think of their performance?
KAPPA SA: Well in the past four games they have managed to win 3 times, never mind it is in different competitions. The important bit is that the team is winning once again and it is crucial that they start collecting points from now on.

BLFC: Finally, sales of the kit?
KAPPA SA: The sales are going extremely well and we would like to send a special thank you to the people of Limpopo for supporting us. We appreciate the love.
