The Absa Premier Soccer League opening fixtures for the 2012/2013 season have been drawn and we are happy with what the cat dragged home.
Leopards will be taking on Bloemfontein Celtics at home for the first fixture of the upcoming season and PR and Communications Manager Tendani Thidiela appreciates the fixtures.
“Our first match will be an MTN derby, marketing wise it’s a great way to kick off the season for both teams. Celtics are a consistent top 8 team so it won’t be an easy game for us, but definitely better than last season where we started with the league winners.
“With that being said I would also like to remind everyone that there are no easy fixtures in the PSL but since it will be a home game for us we will use it to set the pace for the upcoming season, playing an attracting brand of football and staying tight at the back,” said Tendani.
Not all the fixtures have been exposed at the present moment but the teams PR manager states that the team drew Free State Stars as their last fixture of the upcoming season.
“As for the closer we will be facing Free State Stars which I think will be a good way to wrap up the season, hopefully sitting in a respectable position,” concluded the PR and Communications manager.
