08/02/2012 5:00 AM - Brian Abbas Amidu talks to Blackleopardsfc.co.za about his new team and how it feels to be part of the Lidoda Duvha family.

We bring you an exclusive one on one with Amidu at the Black Leopards FC 2012 Awards which he feels next time he will be collecting a few awards come the end of the upcoming season.



Blackleopardsfc.co.za: Welcome Brian, good to be with you.
Abbas Amidu: Thank you, it feels great to be here.

BLFC: Tell us how you feel about joining Lidoda Duvha.
Abbas: Well i am very happy to join the team. It was clear from the beginning that this is a warm home. The reception i received from the players and management was next to none in positiveness.

BLFC: Since you have joined, how do you find the training sessions?
Abbas: Training is great. It always feels good to play football and when you play it with kind people like those of my new home, it does not get better than that.

BLFC: How is your fitness coming along?
Abbas: Very well, i think i am reaching my full potential fitness to be able to play on the competitive field.

BLFC: Your goals with Leopards?
Abbas: Well i would like to give my best to the team and if i get the chance to play i will try my best to do good by the team and for the team. Winning something with the team is one of the objectives i would like to impliment.

BLFC: You were at the awards, what do you think about them?
Abbas: They were magnificent. It was humbling to see players being presented with awards for the great work that they did last season. It can only serve as motivation towards the new players like me.

BLFC: Next season will we be applauding you as you receive your award?
Abbas: [Laughs]... you are putting me on the spot light. But i can only aim to do so, i cannot tell the future but obviously it must be every players dream to achieve something like that. So i think i can say yes i will be collecting...[Laughing]
