On the 24 May 2012 our Chairman Mr David Thidiela sat on the hottest chair in town on the Robert Marawa 083 Sports show.
Sitting on that chair one needs to be a man who is proud of his achievements and a man who has goals that involve making a team like Black Leopards FC a success. Mr David Thidiela is the man that suited the Sports Centre show with no hesitation.
The chairman discussed the team’s achievements in surviving the relegation battle to sit safe and ready for another season in the elite league. Mr Thidiela cited that the plan was to at least finish middle of the table or higher, but that will sit to be one of the next seasons goals. Robert Marawa the enquired about any troubles the team usually face in a daily bases.
The response was that of soccer being a business at present day and financials are at a sky high level, which results in the team having to work extra hard in all departments.
“Also the government is not doing enough for the region of Limpopo to encourage football support hence Black Leopards is the people’s team,” Thidiela included.

Speculations in the media that the management structure of the team was too involved in the field matters were raised as a topic for discussion. Mr Thidiela excellently explained that there is no such thing and that everyone in the team structures knows their job and possesses contracts that state their specific roles.
“On another issue which I want to get to is the issue of our current repositioned coach Sunday Chidzambwa, who is now re-instated as the head coach. He was repositioned to an internal position (Technical Director) in the team a few months back as he felt he had done enough for the team. Now he is back and on the reins once again.”
One may think that Leopards is a small team and with being a small team stories like players not being paid enough is a constant thing. That is a myth in the Black Leopards team as all the players are well paid and never complain at all Thidiela told Robert.
“Lidoda Duvha is still on the CAF Confederations cup and that is part of the successful team we are building. We want to be a big team in the PSL and we are well on our way to such. Black Leopards are here to stay and we are going nowhere but the top”, concluded David Thidiela Chairman of Black Leopards FC.
