Black Leopards Absa Premiership fixture against Golden Arrows on Saturday was abandoned after tear gas affected Leopards players and fans at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi.

It is understood that 'Lidoda Duvha' players were affected by teargas as police were called in to bring calm to a tense situation in the area - where a political rally was being held.

The gas was blown by strong currents into the stadium, and three Leopards players, goalkeeper Postnet Omony, defender Siphiwe Mkhonza and Tiyani Mabunda were heavely affected.

They were immediately hurried to the nearest hospital. Keep your eyes on blackleopardsfc.com for the latest on this situation, and details of the match replay.
