Mongezi Bobe's goal made the difference between Black Leopards and SuperSport United at the Giyani Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
The midfielder struck home in the 88th minute to give all three points to 'Lidoda Duvha'.
As the match wound down in Giyani, the scoreline remained all square with both sides having failed to crack their fellow opponets' defences.
But Bobe brought his team some much-needed hope when he received possession two minutes from time and then took aim from range, his shot having enough on it to beat United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.
After a first 45 minutes lacking any real attacking chances on goal from both sides, the visitors came closest to breaking the deadlock just after the break through Mame Niang.
Niang got his head on the end of great in-swinging corner from Franklyn Cale, only for his effort to sail over the crossbar.
The final result moves Lidoda Duvha into second-last position.
